About

Hey everyone!  I’m Loralie Hunyady!  I’ve been blogging for awhile now…probably at least three years or so.  I’m new to WordPress though; I just started about a week ago!  I try to update my blog daily, but I don’t always have something new to say, or the time to say it.  I have a separate blog where I go on and on about the environment and global warming; that blog is called Dreaming Green.  I enjoy graphic design (but not so much the coding that comes with so much of it), knitting, cooking, travel, fashion, hanging and talking with friends, and the rest that generally comes with being a teenager.

I like to read classics (like Little Women, Gone With the Wind, and Heidi) or else really modern books.  Generally I like books about girls that are growing up, especially ones that are my age.  I hate ones that are all dramatic just because the author wanted to sell the book.  I prefer the books that are more realistic, or else are fantasy and you know that that wouldn’t happen.

I play the viola and enjoy playing it.  I also hope to take up some other instruments when I get a chance.  I already know how to play the violin, but I don’t own one.  I’ve also learned the recorder and I have at least one of them (I think at least two), but there’s not really a lot of opportunity to play that.  I really would like to play the piano (or the harp — it’s so pretty), but both are expensive and big!  I actually was going to get piano lessons at one point but the mean old lady decided to cancel EVERYONE’s lessons because too many people were going on vacation, and then it took years to get her to refund us!  I really like all sorts of music, especially top 40 stuff.  I watch country music videos because some are just flat out hilarious!  I listen to classical music at night to help me fall asleep — something I’ve been doing for as long as I can remember.

I care A LOT about the environment.  My friend and I run a club called TYEC — The Youth Environmentalist Club.  So far we’ve gotten recycling bins in our old middle school (at least the 8th grade hall) and we put up posters all around that school to spread the word about the environment.  Next year we will be freshmen in high school and we’re looking forward to also joining the Environmental Club there!

I play tennis and I used to play softball and soccer.  Softball is probably my favorite sport of all, but I can’t get a ride to practices here, sadly.  It’s probably all for the best, as who would want to play in 110º+ weather anyways?

If you haven’t guessed already, I live in the United States of America.  I’m very excited for this years olympics in Beijing though!  USA!  USA! :D
