Yep! I already finished my Brussels Lace Camisole. Well, actually, know it’s more of a Brussels Lace Vest. I just really thought that I wouldn’t be able to wear it with the slit neck they show. Plus it looks pretty cute as a vest. I had the EXACT amount of yarn that I needed! Wow! Lucky!

Here's the front.

And this is the back. I knit the front and the back exactly the same.
I wore it with my new, super dark skinny jeans. I thought that they looked especially good with this. The jeans are such a clean cut style that they offset the fuzziness of the vest.
I’ve already begun (and half way finished) another project! I started the little accessories bag in Handknit Holidays — the Counterpane Accessories Bag by Carrie Brenner to be exact. I love the cute scallop pattern! I think I may finish the other side tonight (it’s such a quick knit) and the finishing tomorrow. Here’s the first side:

It's actually a much darker shade of blue, but here's one side.
Once again I used my stash instead of what they call for (it calls for La Lana Wools Bombyx Silk, which is too expensive for me and I definitely don’t have lying around! Although I wish to try it — someday). Instead I used up some royal blue Shine Sport from Knit Picks! I think it looks really good in such an intricate pattern, and it’s really soft and fun to knit with! The only problem is it splits a little more than some other yarns, but really hard at all.
My brother’s website is celebrating it’s second birthday today…if you’d like to visit, here’s the link! I also found another cool website! It’s called Carbonrally and it’s to stop global warming! It’s pretty fun! Woo!

Hey, sorry about not posting much today — never got a chance to get online!
Anyways, I had a fantastic birthday yesterday! I had pasta primavera for dinner (my favorite food!), along with french bread and salad! Yummy! For dessert we had dark chocolate cake with vanilla icing and rainbow sprinkles, along with some chocolate ice cream!
My best friend Adri came by and suprised me with some birthday presents! She gave me a really cute shirt from Forever 21 and an AWESOME bag that says “I love my planet” around a peace sign! Yay! I also got a gift card to American Eagle and a book that should be very helpful in my TYEC meetings from my parents!
Something funny that I found out was that even though my birthday is on July 6, when I moved, the time-zone change made it so that in central time I was actually born on July 7, so I guess, if I wanted, I could celebrate my birthday two days in a row! Cool!
I’ve been working on the little vest for my cousins today! I’ll finish sometime tomorrow I am pretty sure!
I just finished reading Heidi! It was a great book! Now I REALLY want to go to Switzerland! I remember how I used to watch the movie all the time when I went to my grandparents’ house, but I never really remembered how the story went. Now that I’ve read the book, I like it even more!
I’ll update you with more tomorrow! Good night!

Hello everyone! As you may have noticed I added a fashion page…I was bored, ok!
Anyways, this weekend and coming weeks will be busy for me! Fourth of July was yesterday, and it was definitely a fun Independence Day! We had some pretty big fireworks, but our neighbors had really big ones too! We could also see the best firework show in the metro from our house! It was pretty cool!
Sunday is my birthday and I am pretty excited! I don’t know if I’m doing anything much for my birthday. I might go to the mall with my friends or something sometime next week, but I’m not sure.
Thursday I’m leaving for California, where I will be for about two weeks! You won’t be hearing much from me during that time! We’re celebrating my aunt’s birthday plus just visiting with all of my relatives. I have over 20 cousins, just to give you an idea of how many people will be there. It will definitely be fun, but I’m little worried about all the wildfires in California. I hate smoke and it might make it hard to breathe. Oh well — I’ll get to spend practically the whole time I’m there in the pool!
Ok, so I should also update you a bit on some of my knitting, since I haven’t said much at all about that.

I started working on this scarf pretty recently. I got the yarn at a locoal yarn shop. I’m using Jo Sharp Alpaca Silk Georgette, and, oh my gosh, it is SO soft! I decided to make a scarf with it since it’s a bit too expensive to make anything very big. I’ve done a lot more than is in the photograph, and I’ll post an update soon. I’ll also put the pattern on Ravelry when I’m finished, even though it’s really basic.
I’ve also been working on making some little vests for my two new cousins. They are both little boys and recently adopted. We made one a kangaroo vest and another a striped vest, and they are so cute! I’m also going to help make a few of my other young cousins some presents, since we always end up celebrating pretty much everyone’s birthday when we go to California in the summer!
You’ll be hearing more from me later! Have a great weekend!
